How to avoid fabric loss and waste in clothing processing
1、 Improvement of Labu Operation in Clothing Processing
Some employees use the method of receiving cloth during the cloth pulling operation, which sometimes leads to color deviation. The original purpose of the fabric cutting operation is to save fabric. If the color difference factor is not taken into account, not only will it fail to achieve fabric saving, but it will also increase the difficulty of changing pieces and verifying colors, as well as waste of time.
If any fabric defects or color differences are found during the pulling process, a fault label should be immediately affixed to avoid being missed during the inspection and mixed into the mass production, resulting in more disassembly and replacement operations. If there are many fabric defects, the team leader should be reported and appropriate replacement fabric should be reserved. Otherwise, if there is no replacement fabric, it will lead to short installation losses and increased chances of being claimed.
Without checking the color card, the wrong color number was sent. It was not until the color card was checked during the drawing operation that the wrong fabric was found, resulting in operational waste. Once cutting layer by layer operations, such as lining operations, occur without checking the color card, the losses will be significant.
2、 Improvement of Cutting Operations
First, to understand the fabric, it is absolutely necessary to conduct physical testing and make small samples for reference. What numbering materials are suitable for fabrics, such as pencils, white pens, silver pens, numbering machines, stickers, etc.
2. Explore the most appropriate position for the number of cut pieces and establish an SOP to prevent defective products from being easily seen through once spliced or folded.
3. Train and establish font standards for Arabic characters, avoiding blurriness and difficulty in recognition.
4. The font size should not exceed 0.5CM to avoid exposure.
5. Explore which fabrics do not require numbering, and simplify the numbering process by using non connecting fabrics and color blocking cloth.
3、 Improvement of bundling operation
1. Tight bundling can cause wrinkling in some fabrics and increase ironing time.
2. Loose bundling can easily cause the cut pieces to scatter, increase the time required to sort out the numbers, and increase the possibility of contamination caused by falling onto the ground.
3. Too few bundling items increase the time required for unpacking and bundling. Usually, it takes about ten seconds to disassemble and bundle 15-20 pieces, so the additional disassembly time for each piece is about 1.5 seconds.
4. There are too many bundling items, although the bundling method with fewer bundling items saves slightly more labor hours per item on average. If the number of people arranged in the group is small, each person is allocated more working hours, and the number of packages is large, it may affect the working hours of the next person waiting for materials.
